Gentle Yoga with Suma

These yoga classes are meant for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. Different teachers certainly have different styles, but the end goal is the same - to offer a practice that meets the particular needs of those affected by cancer.

Zentangle

Zentangle is an easy to learn method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. It is a fascinating new art form that is fun and relaxing. It increases focus and creativity, and provides artistic satisfaction and an increased sense of personal well-being.

Knitting and Crochet Circle

Come together with others who love to knit and crochet. There is no instructor in this workshop, just people enjoying each other’s company and learning from one another. Yarn and needles are provided.

Walking Club

Join Our Clubhouse members and volunteers for our new Walking Club. All are welcome and this is a great time to get started - we will be following the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services walking program for beginners. Over the next several months, our walking distances will slowly increase until we are ready to walk a 5K together in May 2017! Each participant will receive a walker's manual that includes a training schedule. An Our Clubhouse member and volunteer will lead two walks each week, and you may make some new friends to walk with on the weekend as well!

CLIMB

CLIMB is a 4 week program for children and teens between the ages of 6-17 who have a parent, grandparent, or significant adult with cancer. During each 2 hour session, children/teens engage in therapeutic art and play. A concurrent parent group will be offered during each CLIMB session. Please contact Abby with questions or to register.

Living Life Post Cancer Treatment - Jewish Community Center, South Hills

A program for adults with any cancer diagnosis who have completed treatment within the past 2 years. Creative Painting

Pediatric Cancer Family Group

Families that have a child living with pediatric cancer (either in treatment or post treatment) are welcome to connect with other families that understand what it is like to have a child with cancer. There will be opportunities for adults to get together and talk while the kids engage in fun activities. A light brunch will be served.

Pediatric Cancer Bereavement Group

We recognize that grieving the death of a child is a journey that no one should do alone. This is a group for families that have lost a child or teen to a pediatric cancer. Adults will have the opportunity to meet with others that are grieving the loss of a child and find a needed network of support. This group is open to the whole family and supervised activities and support will be available to children while the adults meet.
