Volunteers range from high school students to retirees and can serve weekly or just a few times a year. Explore the opportunities below to see what works best for you!
Social Events – We are always hosting social events for our members to enjoy. Whether it is a Cake Walk at Christmas, Dinner for Two on Valentine’s Day or a rhythm filled Drum Circle, volunteers are needed to make each social event happen!
Workshops – Are you certified to teach yoga? Are you extremely artistic? Do you have Pinterest projects you’ve always wanted to create? By facilitating a workshop at Our Clubhouse, you will assist members as they master new skills. We are always looking for volunteers to lead Wellness or Art Workshops.
Kitchen Crew – There is something to be said about the social bonding and good will created around a healthy meal. Our Clubhouse members enjoy dinner before support groups, lectures, and at social events. We are always looking for new cooks to join our kitchen crew!
Kid’s Activities – Meet the children that come to Our Clubhouse at Kid’s Cooking, Kid’s Creations and all Saturday events. Help those touched by cancer while having some good child-like fun! (Kid’s Activity Volunteers are required to provide PA Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances).
Reception Desk – Be the first smiling face members see as they enter Our Clubhouse! Reception Desk duties include answering the phone, greeting the members, computer work as necessary, filing, assisting with mailings, etc. Volunteering at the Reception Desk is a great way to be involved each week, if your schedule allows.
Lectures – Education is empowering. By providing our members with current knowledge on nutrition, diet, treatment, etc., Our Clubhouse is able to foster not only a community of support, but also information sharing. If you are a professional interested in sharing your knowledge, a lecture or demonstration is the perfect opportunity.
Entertainment – Share your musical or other entertaining talents with our members! Play an instrument, put on a comedy performance, or sing at karaoke! If you have a talent, we have a use for it!
Outreach – Our Clubhouse’s work does not just stop at the Clubhouse Doors. If you would like to represent Our Clubhouse in the community (i.e. hospitals, churches, workplaces, high schools, etc) join our Volunteer Ambassador Program (link to Volunteer Ambassador Page) or join our group of Monthly Calendar Delivery Volunteers.
